Order book, 1861-1862.

This order book, 1861-1862, contains equipment inventories and general orders relating to the 1st Company of Richmond Howitzers. Also included in the order book is a copy of P. G. T. Beauregard's (1818-1893) farewell address to the Confederate Army of the Potomac, and a detailed summary of the artillery unit's participation in the Battles of 1st Bull Run and Ball's Bluff, written by William Price Palmer (1821-1896).
